Weekend Trip to The Blue Mountains

During the colder months, Boyfriend and I packed up the car and drove up to the Blue Mountains for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Saturday was dreary, rainy and cold which wasn’t the best weather for hiking and seeing views – but perfect weather for staying cosy inside with a cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows. Sunday was sunny and the mist lifted, so we were able to see some of the views before heading back to Sydney around midday.

We stayed at:
The Gatsby, Katoomba – a pretty little cottage on Katoomba Street, just walking distance from the main tourist attractions. What I loved the most was the 1920s Gatsby-style décor, giant TV with Foxtel, the log fire and the pretty bathroom with heated tiles. We loved it and highly recommend that you stay there!

Eat:
We ate a few delicious meals at Leura Gourmet Café and Deli, just 5 minutes away from Katoomba. On Saturday after lunch, we purchased some lasagnes, salads and chocolate from the deli for dinner at home that evening.
